“The Nest” is an attempt to use available materials in your houses to make art. This piece is an assemblage made out of spoons and forks. Ever since the pandemic, we were somewhat caged to our houses; so, this piece's primary goal is to represent the idea of being free even though we feel like we are not. Nests are considered as a home for birds; that is why this piece aims to portray the sensation of being at home. The artwork also seeks to portray the feeling of being free, just like a bird.

The artist used this piece to experiment with using different materials to make a free-standing sculpture. The artist used materials that were available in their house. This piece's process was a bit tricky since it requires certain strength to bend and form the utensils into his desired shape. The artist used epoxy as his binding material to attach each piece of silverware. The artist misses being at home; he used this as an inspiration to turn his feelings into an artwork.

This artwork can encourage the audience to start making art using materials they can find in their houses. The artwork aims to make the audience feel free even though we are somewhat caged because of the pandemic. This piece wants to express the sensation of being at home so that the audience can feel it. The artwork also wants to be a symbol of hope for the audience because the prolonged quarantine makes everyone feel hopeless.

The artwork aims to show that even though there is a pandemic, anyone can still do art using materials in their houses. It also indicates that art-making does not limit you to using typical art materials; sometimes, experimenting on other materials can help an artist improve. The artwork mainly aims to be a symbol of hope and freedom for everyone. The pandemic caused a lot of problems, so the artwork aims to be a reason to forget those problems and start looking on the brighter side of things. This piece aims to be a ‘nest’ or to be a home for everybody.
